I bought a wrecked 91 LS that has been sitting up for about a year. Haven't started on it yet but the former owner thinks there may be a small amount of sugar in the tank. there is less than 2 gallons of fuel in the tank, and the vehicle has not been started. should I fill it with fuel and some sort of additive, or remove the tank for cleaning?????

Well, let me tell you this... and thank goodness my Father is not a member of this forum.
When I was 16 - I decided to dump 5 lbs of surgar into may parents 50 gallon van. Of course I held the trap down with a screwdriver and poured it in... spilling maybe 1 - 2 pounds on the floor. A broom and dust pan made for a quick clean up of the evidence.
Well, sure enough 2 months later the engine was terminal. The cancer I placed upon the engine was begining to take hold. The egine overheated on a long road trip. The van only had one check engine light that was permanently on after the first 2 weeks. My dad replaced the plugs, points, O2 sensor, fuel filter, air filter, all trying to diagnose the problem. He didn't bother with the oil cause it had been recently been changed.
Bottom line - sugar is not to be confused with BG44K. He decided to drop the motor and even the tops of the pistons had a resin baked real good on every cylinder.
I just felt like that was pay back for cock blocking me for all those years.

My dad was in the Navy for 36 years.
7 years of my remembering life my dad wasn't there.
He'd come and go. And reassert his "control" when he was back from sea duty. I wasn't violated in any way so I don't want to come off like that - but lets say he sure did put to WHIPPING MY ASS for the slightest s h i t. Then the older I got the belt stopped but he would physically toss me around, give me the back of his hand, throw a punch and jossle me every now and then.
So I needed to find a way to secretly "F" up his pride and joy AND TO WATCH HIM SUFFER! Have him really stumped and working days on end to fix his pride and joy. I really needed to feel like I could make an impact in his life because physically I could not. So it was a pleasure to see him leave for work... knowing full well that he was off to work trying to make a dollar.
I could go on and on but that should be left for in house treatment cause I harbor some serious resentment for my Father!
