hey guys i think im due for a starter, in the past couple months i noticed my car would turn 1sec after i had already turned the key all the way over. its like there was a delay in the starting system between the key and the engine. well today i went and turned the key and nothing happend, for about 5 tries, then i banged my starter with a golf club a few times then it started, and it started fine when i came home from work. well anyways, where should i go and get a starter? or what brand/price, and tips on installation? thanks crew im definitely doin this on my own, no mechanics involved.

acura starter

ok, I changed my starter twice on my sterling acura and you are not going to believe what the problem was, well the reason why the car was not cranking is because there is a wire that connects to the selenoid on top the starter toward the transmission filler that came loose , make sure that it is tight not loose,as far as changing the starter I can do it in 15min ,there are two long bolts one on top and one on the bottom you would need one of those deep sockets to get the bolt out, when putting the new one in make sure its all the way in connect the battery + then AGAIN the wire for the selenoid and you are done if you need more help I will send an email with the some pictures from the service manual
