I have to say this update is truely FTMFL. I can live with ads but the fact that they are on the left is a significant nusiance because of how much it cuts into the actual content of the thread. Plus, why would you up the price for a membership while reducing the number of allowed PMs by 9,500!

I think:wtf: and :bs: pretty much sums up most people's feelings on the new update

sweet. Will I still have the same limit when I renew?
I would assume so, but will double check and respond when I know for sure.

What is sticker package?
You get stickers suitable for your car window or toolbox etc... It takes about 6-10 weeks to arrive, and your address is taken from your paypal account. A nice touch if you feel like representing the site.

Agree to all the above comments plus the page loads are now horribly slow!
I will look at the site performance graphs and see if there is an issue. I have experienced no slowdowns up to this point.

at least the autoguide ads are minimized...... :dunno:

But in the why did you move the smilie bar to the bottom instead of the right hand side when you select advanced post? its annoying like this. it was much easier when it was on the right.
I will see if I can change it. It may be the way the newer version of VB is set up.

Also, why are there only like 8 threads displayed on the home page? :wtf: that is annoying. i have to bump this thread already because no one can see it. can you please allow more threads to be seen on the homepage? the same as before the update...
I will also see about the setting for this. Remember folks, it has only been a few hours since we went live. There are a few things to iron out and we will make sure they are taken care of.

Cool thanks! it be nice if these things were changed back.

Can the "site navigation" menu on the left side please contain all of the links to every part of the forum?

Can all the forum sections on [URL]this page be linked on the left "site navigation" menu?

Looks like the Recent Threads on the front page is back to normal.

NICE!!!:woot:
But the smiles are still on the bottom of the post box...
Yeah, we fixed the homepage. It was a setting. Unfortunately, the smilies are going to have to stay where they are. If they were on the right side, it would affect users with small screens, making them scroll more.

Geez, you guys, look:

This is a FREE SITE for most of you. We DON'T *have to* PAY to be here, to have an account, to post, etc. Yeah, I can understand that the ads may bite, and there are some changes, but look at it from the other side: they bought a site with the intent to MAKE MONEY from it.

I don't know the new owner's, but I can tell you they must have a *lot* of patience, b/c dude has repeatedly said *check the faq* before you post about something, yet people keep going over the same stuff. If it's not in the FAQ, cool, I understand that, but, just like so many other things, people are jumping right in w/out reading the instructions. And we *all* know how that can turn out. And they have to listen to everyone *complain* and not offer constructive criticism, and there *is* a difference. I feel they are flexible enough to give us input on this site (how many sites do you belong to where the members are going to make the banner for the page?), so let us help them shape the site so that everyone, including the owners, can benefit from it.

And yeah, this is a major overhaul, and there will be some glitches. GIVE THEM TIME to work them out. We as community demand a lot for next to nothing. And even the paying members, give them time to work this out. For everyone complaining about this that and the other, and not approaching this thread with a little bit of humility and understanding, imagine if they started charging a monthly fee, or increased the package prices? What would you do? The only thing constant is *change*, so let's give this a chance before everyone starts ripping it apart. If you think you can do better, buy a server, get hosting, set everything up, and then let everyone know. If not, sit back, relax, and let's not make mountains out of molehills, mmmmmmmmmmmkay?

I don't expect everything to be changed and solved right away. I build and maintain my own site and have business off that where people expect to see pictures up with in under a week.

However I would like to be recognized as a member of this forum and community that I have given so much of my time and where I though I had a voice.

You can minimize the site navigation window so it doesn't appear if you feel that the links are redundant. You can also minimize the buyers guide. We have the site navigation buttons at the top so they are easy to find and user friendly. Thanks

If you have an account, you post, you contribute, you *are* recognized. :D And if you didn't have a voice, how would you be posting :) Like I said, this isn't for those offering constructive criticism, just the out and out complaining that really needs to stop. We sound like a bunch of crybabies, and is that how we want to be perceived?

Okay sorry for the confusion, let me try this again. On the left "site navigation" menu. Why are there no links to the actual forum sections? Can we please put all of the forum section links from this main page http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/ on that menu?

For example:

New Member Introductions - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
General Forum Rules - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
Marketplace Rules - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
Front Page News - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
First Generation Legend (1986-1990) - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
Second Generation Legend (1991-1995) - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
First Generation RL (1996-2004) - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
Second Generation RL (2005 to Present) - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum
Wheels, Tires, Brakes, and Suspension - The Acura Legend & Acura RL Forum

.... and so on...

I'm a professional photographer, I give and get critiques all the time you know that. A response to those comments is all I wanted because it says I was herd. Nadeem and I have discussed and I will leave this at that.
