Hey, I was thinking about getting the new Pioneer’s DEH-P7400MP mp3 player. I was wondering about how fast it takes to load a song and if there is lag between songs? Does it act similar to winamp? Is this the best in dash mp3 player to get? Thanks for all the info.

I'm in the same perdicament as you. I want to get the Pioneer mp3 player but I havent heard about how fast they load songs and so forth. But the best in dash MP3 player there is from what i've been told is the Alpine CDA-7878. It cost anywhere from $500-$650. Try to compare both and see which one best suites you.

Wow - that unit looks pretty nice, but it's twice the price as the Pioneer. What makes the Alpine unit so special? Also, do they have another unit that is less expensive but still doesn't lag?
I'd really like to know how the Pioneer loads and transitions songs before I order one. I haven't seen it in any stores either. I have heard that the Pioneer unit is nice though. Lemme know if you find out any more info.
