I second that. It's only a matter of time.paulo57509 said:The boots aren't designed to keep fluid in; they're to keep dust and dirt out. The seals inside the rack are leaking. Time to locate a rebuilt unit, flush the system and refill with fresh fluid.
Go ahead and change the hose. In fact, I'd recommend changing all of the PS hoses. They're usually all the same age and condition. When one goes, the others aren't too far behind. This holds true for cooling hoses too.legenddriverc said:I have a question about this too. My power steering fluid leaks. When a mechanic was under my car fixing the muffler system he showed me a hose(I think thats what it was) that the leak was coming from . Can I change that hose or what should I do???
