I have to replace the rad in my baby. Is there an advantage in replacing the Rad with an OEM i.e. an aluminium core rad with a plastic top versus a copper/brass rad. It would appear that an aluminum rad is only available from my dealer. No shops in the area carry an aluminum core rad. Is aluminum better? I know it is lighter and cools faster. What are the advantages/disadvantages. What are you guys using for a replacement rad. Are you sticking with aluminum or putting in copper/brass? Any assistance would be appreciated.

did you get a price for the OEM... usually its around 500 dollars from the dealership
Modine, Koyo, and CSF are aftermarket brands I can think of
I believe all of them are plastic/metal combo
but on www.radiatorbarn.com they sell the 2 row metal radiator for our cars
for 130 with free shipping. and lifetime warranty so...
BTW its all metal

I went with a koyo, and it works fine and its of good quality. Closer to stock then the samsung, and the radiator cap actually fit without any modification! The Samsung went back to 1800radiators, while we kept the koyo, 125 bux with lifetime warrenty. BTW: the koyo works absolutely fine, and its closer to stock then the koyo.
