just had the bose radio in my 93 legend sedan repaired,
had an intermittent problem before and according to the
Chilton wiring diagrams, the stereo and the lighter relay work from the same Yel/Red wire.....
my question....
WERE THE HECK IS THE LIGHTER RELAY!
positive suggetions will encourage the Acura gods to smile fondly in your direction for a couple of days.

FIrst off - Welcome aboard

without referring to the manual, I will take a quick stab in the dark:

I would say if you looked past your fusebox, there are a number of relays along that wall above it. I have not exp this trouble, but this is one place where there are some. Second, there are relays in the underhood fuesbox.

Did they replace this relay?

Thanks for the hearty welcome...
after much re-aqcuainting myself with the long ago lost art of reading comprehesion,
the manual finally revealed where the lighter relay was.
engine comp passenger side.
five relays:dome light,lighter,frnt/rear abs(2 ea)
swapped them all around.
BUT... that was'nt the cause,
believe or not 7.5amp fuse in the kick panel.
I pulled it out and checked it FOUR TIMES....
then just changed it with a known good one...
viola, power to the radio and lighter.
tunes in the legend again!!!
yes we are smilin'
thanks

if memory serves me correctly, that should be a 15 amp fuse..you may want to change it...as soon as that lighter is used again, it will pop that fuse...7.5 fuses are only for dainty things like ECU's and fuel pump relays, etc :)

Just some advice for you...glad you found it
