How do i remove the rear right speaker on a 89 sedan, i tried the grill but it seemed to start chipping...

You will need to access the speakers from in the trunk. Liw down and look upwards and you'll see 3 nuts holding it in place. after unscrewing these it will push through onto the rear dash

Question

does the rear speaker come out the same way for a 90 coupe?

Haven't seen in the trunk of the coupe yet but I don't think it's much different, only thing to watch out for is theres less space between dash and window.
