How do you get to the rear 6X9 speakers on a Sedan. I want to replace them and I was quoted $40.00 to have someone do it for me. Please help.

Thanks

carefully stick a flat head screw driver in between the cloth covered grill and the outer plastic rim of the speaker, then just pop the cloth covered grill off. The speakers are held in by 4 screws I think.

I would also recommand getting an adaptor for your speakers, that way you don't have to cut and splice wires for your new speakers, just plug and play.
Here's the speaker adaptor from autotoys

You can also pick one up at Circuit city or any other stereo shop. I got mine from circuit city.

Those adapters sound like a good idea... I had no idea you could buy those. But dont pay someone do that.... its pretty easy.

I used to have a fear of taking plastic parts off any car, but the plastic they use for the clips in the acura are really good, and a small knife should do really well. Just pry n' pull.:)

What is good 6X9 speaker to get for the back?
You have a L, so anything 4ohm should work. A good set of speakers is all in your taste, so you'll have to go to a stereo shop and listen to some setups, and pick the one you like. I'm sure everyone on here is going to tell you they like the setup they have. So you'll end up getting tons of different answers. And you might not like what others like.

Thanks for the heads up. I am not looking for some big thumping system. I plan on keeping my stock head unit and just put in some new speakers to get the best sound. I am a family man and my Legend is my family car.:)

Why not match them with your fronts....?? If you are just looking for something that makes good decent sound, then go with a set of JBL 6x9s. When I took the stereo out of my sedan, I had JBL 6.5s and 6x9s hooked up to a pioneer deck.. The 6.5s are now yours, and my friend has the 6x9s and pioneer deck hooked up in his maxima. It sounds awesome, and those 6x9s are very clear. Better then the alpine 6x9s I had in my previous car by far.

Also, you will keep the "tones" the same so to speak.... JBL all around instead of JBl up front and_____ in the rear.

The JBL 6x9s have really good bass handling ability as well.

If you are looking for cheap 6x9s, I found a pair of 100w pioneer 6x9s in my basement that work fine. They look like the bose speakers that you will pull out (paper cone). They are yours for $20 if you want something that will work.... They sound good for $20 (Just trying to take more of your money:D ).
