Ya, I don't know what the blue tape was for either... I took off the excess glue with Goo-Gone, WD-40 would equally work too...

Make sure it's a new sharp blade...

nope... like he said it was cut like with scissors or something. Will goo-gone melt the material?

These were definitely not cut with scissors! Wow....
I said before that these were made slightly larger than the actual amber area for the simple fact that I wanted to make the application easier. The blue (or pink) vinyl piece placed to prevent the pieces from unraveling and can be easily cleaned off with goo gone wd 40, etc. If need be, I can take a picture of the machine that I used to cut these. It is a summa pro 750 cutter/plotter. You can cut it down and trim it if you want, just be careful that you dont cut into your tail light. Sorry that you arent happy with the outcome- do you want a refund?
The best way to align them on a sedan is to just butt the straight end up against the reverse light area and roll it on from the middle out.

I'm not saying they were cut with scissors but they were cut a little uneven and had some straight edges where the curb is. It doesn't matter now because it's all trimmed down to the perfect shape of the amber... I'm happy with the end result but I wasn't expecting having to trim them. Doesn't matter, they look good now.

Thanks.

Legendary 93 - Thanks for the red-out kits! Received & installed my tails on Monday. There were only two slightly sharp edges that were easily trimmed off with scissors (prior) to application.

I lined up the vinyl with the reverse lights per your instructions (but I did this with the backing tape still on first to ensure proper fit & alignment). Then I slightly trimmed the vinyl on two of the edges (with the backing material on),but later realized after installation that this wasn't necessary since the red vinyl blends perfectly with the tail light.

Regarding the blue tape. BE CAREFUL! I used either Goo-Gone or Goof-Off adhesive remover and it did dull the vinyl in the small area where the blue tape was. I tried to wax, buff, etc and it's still rough looking compared to the rest of the vinyl, which matches the lens (i.e. Glossy).

Overall, I'd say this is a great kit - just take your time to install. Complete installation in 15 mins.

Looks incredible and updates the look of the car!

Do you have anymore of these? I want a set for a coupe.

Hey legendary i'm happy with the results, so don't get me wrong. lol It just took me longer then usual because i lined it up like your instructions, but as i got half way through... i realized that it was going crooked and i'd eventually see the orange... so i had to peel it off and tilt it a certain way so it would work. :****: But yeah i'm happy so thanks!
