I'm planning on detailing my Black 93 LS Sedan.
I bought the Legend used and noticed there are some swirl marks.
Someone recommended on using 3M Swirl Remover.
The question is... when do I apply it??
Before or After the polish?? wax?? compound??
I believe you refer to 3M Mirror Glaze. The product is an extremely fine grit compound on the same lines as rubbing compound. So you dewax, mirror glaze, clean, and rewax. By the way, swirl marks typically are due to using a dirty polishing disk. Micro-scratches due to dirty sponge or whatever you use to wash.
I would recommend meguiars #9 swirl remover. I believe 3M is 5 or 6 bucks, meguiars is 10 bucks. I rather pay more. http://www.meguiars.com/ It's been recommended by other bodyshops to me.
P.S. If u go online and call them, they can help u out, direct u on wot u need and send u a free catalog along w/a free car descreption on wot u should do to keep it shiny like new. They will ask u wot year mak color miles all the info. I say give them a shot.
