This will work in most cases to get you by until you can replace the HG's. Your fuel milage will be less and it will take forever to warm up. If the BHG is severe it may not help.
Removing Thermostat
To help with the temperature spike, currently have a BHG, I will remove the thermostat this weekend so there is a constant flow of coolant. I may not have a lot of heat, but I can live with it until I have time to replace the BHG.
