Replacing CV Boots

I've read most of the threads on this and I got the driveshaft out. My question now is from reading Ballistic's DIY (thanks for all the DIY's guys) do I need to replace both boots if I'm trying to put a new outer boot on? I got a outer boot and I thought I could just replace that but its not looking like thats gonna work. If I have to do both I might just go get a new axle at NAPA. Thanks for any replies guys and have a Merry Christmas.

I would recommend just replacing the whole axle because dirt in your cv joint is what wears them out fastest. By only replacing the boot, you run the rist of not removing all contaminants that wear the joint. In the long run, you wont have problems with your cv joints if you just replace the entire axle.
