Just wondering who here is running their Legend on Synthetic Oil, if so, what kind, and can feel the difference?
Its biggerWhats the advantage of an NSX filter??
REALLY ?Once you start using synthetic oil in any motor you cannot go back. If you go back to regular it will f*** the whole engine up. So make sure going to synthetic is really what you want to do and if you do do you really want to spend the extra money.
I'll call BS for you. The only problem that you might find is some seepage due to the cleaning of seals that were sludged up. I haven't noticed any additional oil use in either of my vehicles. Also, with substantially less need for vicosity modifying additives, syn is much more stable. The polymers used to create multi-weight oils shear down over time, so less is better.REALLY ?
I have never heard that before ! And I cant imagine why this could possibly be true. Could you explain this please before I call BS, lol
Yes I am serious ! I am running on synthetic now (Royal Purple) and am planning to go back to regular oil AND I never even thought that it would cause any problems. I did quite a bit of reading BEFORE I switched to synthetic and I never read anything about this being a one way switch.Stu: Are you being serious? I'd heard that the switch to synthetic is one way also... Haven't bothered to read up and verify though...
That's the equivalant of an old wives tale and is untrue. Research before you post up false statements.Once you start using synthetic oil in any motor you cannot go back. If you go back to regular it will f*** the whole engine up. So make sure going to synthetic is really what you want to do and if you do do you really want to spend the extra money.
Well it's NOT true at all, switching back and forth between synthetic and regular oil will not cause any problems.I dont know if it is 100% true but I can kinda believe that putting synthetic in a motor and then going back to regular could harm the engine.
