Looks as if whatever we do, no body can hear us.

Comptech is about to relese its New J series Superchargers for the accord, tl and cl.

Legend? NO!

However they did most of the leg work for us.

The SC has been sized to a specific Eaton Roots-type supercharger (number MP62 ).

Comptech supplies its own pre-adjusted fuel pressure regulator. A Walboro 255 gph gas-tank mounted pump is also supplied.

so what we have to do is fit it somewhere make up a pulley and braket it up to our engines pullies. then go crazy on the piping.

well its not simple but some major steps have been developed.

I hate comptech especially with quotes like this:

"We have been building the header for a while," says Shad Hundley, one of the chief engineers for the project. "It makes great power, and it sells great." But when Comptech began getting about 30 requests per week for a supercharger, the company's direction was clear"

What about our fifty A DAY for Headers!?

News of this have been going around for a long time. In the latest issue of Honda Tuning (or one of those mags), they feature an Accord with the Supercharger and other stuff. It did the 1/4 mile in the 14s. Maybe it'll be something I get way in the future if I have extra cash (not likely).

But the SC costs over $4000, maybe it's due to Comptech style pricing. Their headers are around $1200 now, but at least 2 other companies have designed headers and may start mass producing them sooner for a few hundred less.

It's going to take ALOT of effort to get that thing in a Legend. The Accords have the pulleys and intake on opposite sides of the engine.

When I first got my legend I was told that there are not a lot of aftermarkets parts because those who owned a legend didn't care about such things. There was a time when I have no doubt that was true but now I find it hard to swallow.

Edmunds has this to say about the first generation CL,"The CL's target market is aging baby boomers who are experiencing life without children..." And yet the CL has a lot more options than the Legend? not fair not fair not fair!

I think I'd prefer a turbo charger to a supercharger but it would be nice to have the option to choose.

The supercharger isn't supposed to make that much power to the wheels for the TL. On the prototype I think it only added 40hp. Who wants to spend 4K for 40 horses? Unless there is nothing else left to do to your car and you have the money just sitting around, I don't think it is very cost effective.

Doh. Guess I didn't see that line. Anyway, it's also in the hardprint of Honda Tuning.

I could never understand why companies like Comtech would waste their time engineering Headers and Turbo kits for crappy cars like Cavaliers, Neons and Sunfires, and totally throw a well known, well build car like the Legend on the shelf. I'm sure even when Legends were in their prime, Comtech didn't even consider designing performance parts for it. What a waste of an engineering.... It's a disgrace!

Not to be a hater or anything but Comptech and these BIG Honda/Acura companies will probably never make any Major parts for the Legend.. To them it wouldn't be cost effective.

1st. The Legend is Discontinued (Acura this was a stupid move)

2nd. The cars out now TL, CL.. ect. are the cars compeating w/ the other 300+HP cars out there in the market so these companies think that the added HP will bring in $$$..

3rd. Most of us who own Legends (on the boards) would probably be the only support for these High preformance parts.. Hey it's only like 900 of us.. And out of that 900+ who would spend 4000+ for Headers, SC, or TT... not a lot.. Some of us would but don't have the $$.

So for Comptech or BIG companies to make these parts for the Legend and it be SUPER Profitable for them A LOT of Legends would have to buy them.. Business wise it would'nt be smart..

But hey, for us Custom work will be are route.. and JAPAN..

I Luv my Legend with or without aftermarket support ..

thats ok, Thai...we can still open a market....there are a lot more people that love legends than you think...PLUs it ouwl encourage more to join the clique!

You know they make SC's for the 91 Q45?
And that is the same marque as the LEgend....so, why not?
Join the flow...soon, I will join forces with a few other folks and we will see if we can at least get a nice thing going...no, not a GB, but some R & D.....you got REALLY good people on here, like Christian, Chris Moody and Mike D that have the skillsets and resources to do just that. Once the R &D is done, (I will help of course), you can have custom stuff done..in-house..BLOW every body's mind (no pun intended).

So get ready....IT WILL HAPPEN. Patience.... :D
