its suppose to turn on when you switch on your turn signals.

i found the part number to it

and i did a search to see if the 4dr has it and it does...
i think it was only an option for 93-95 though

I bought them about 5 or 6 years ago from an online OEM parts dealer..

its going to cost about $200

and stu... putting HIDs into the cornering lamp isnt the greatest thing to do...

you're going to spend $200-300 just for the hid bulb and ballast..

and HID bulbs have a startup time.... it takes about 30 seconds or more for it to reach normal temp and color....

since these cornering bulbs only come on when you turn.... it wouldnt be really usefull

especially if you make alot of turns like in the city... the bulbs will get damaged from being turned on and off all the time...

thats why HIDs for high beams arent recommended either...

was the cornering light an option or standard for canadian legends?

i agree with DRLs... but they get mixed feelings about them in the US because not everyone has them..

and issues like masking.

masking with DRLs is basically

1) having bright lights that are the same color as daylight will make your car invisible against a sunrise or sunset

or

2) a dark car in a row of many that are equipped with DRLs
