hey i was driving away from the mall today after christmas shopping, and out next to the curb i see an SE Legend. i was like cool! then i did a double take and saw a little something that i thought was strictly not available to the USDM Legends...

see anything different?

maybe i'm mistaken, but i was under the influence that those corner lamps were only available on some EDM and JDM Legends... guess it was available here...

thats true. i had cornering lamps on my sc400. when you turn on your turn signal, the cornering lamp turns on and illuminates the corner you're turning into. its helpful, but i wired in a relay and converted my cornering lamps on the lexus into fog lights.

they look good on certain cars... like this silver jdm:

now that thing is sexy IMO

its just as if it were a side marker...just more in the front

its actually nothing like a sidemarker. sidemarkers blink when your turn signal on to make it more visible to people on your side that you're turning. the turning lamp illuminates the side of the road.

there is a purpose to them, thats why they are used by companies such as lexus, toyota, cadillac, lincoln, acura, and honda. I think the reason they aren't on a lot of newer cars is becuase it would indeed look awkward on most cars and styles. There are a few exceptions though. like the sc300/sc400. they look like foglights but are fully functional cornering lamps.

From what I remember reading on this site, they were only available on coupes. That guy must have bought some on Ebay or something and put them on.

yea i am pretty sure that person put them on that car.. unless he got a bumper that originated in japan and put it on.

I like how the cornering lights look on dark colored Legends (ie: Fut's and Ack-Crawler's legends)

....not too fond of em on light colored Legends though

i fully agree. i think they would look great on the green and black. but not on anything else. well... i think they look good on the silver as an exception....

i had just never seen them on any legend besides theres. then i saw that one locally. and i was like hmm.. i see cadi's with them all the time, but for the legends it was like 1 in the last 50 i've seen in town. it just stood out to me thats all. figured it was an option not available here and it was done by the person.

its installation instructions for a 5th gen accord. i believe its the same part as the legend. so this might help a bit.
