Sedan and Coupe Master Cylinder the same?

check the part numbers on www.acuraparts247.com

they are both interchangeable as long as both have ABS.

I wouldn't think so, but the reason I ask is because the company that made it also makes one for a Coupe, but I can't find that one on eBay.

Hmmm... I know there is NO difference on models with power brakes (w/o ABS) and I could be wrong here but I think there is a difference on Coupe/Sedan models with ABS, master cylinder are listed with different part number...

once again my friend. there is no difference in the G1 master cylinders from 87-90 with abs brakes and no difference in them without abs from 86-90.now you can't use one without abs on a car that had abs because all the fitting and connections are different and there are more lines that run to the abs unit from the mc.as for different part numbers, could be a different supplier for a different year but trust me they are interchangeable.

I agree with jno2968326 ...as a matter of fact I put a master cylinder from an 88L coupe (w/ABS) into my 90LS sedan (w/ABS) this past summer. I checked out using a non-ABS master cylinder, and it was DEFINITELY not a match.

By the way ....when you swap master cylinders (or put a new one in) be sure to adjust the push-rod properly ...to the point where there is NO pressure on the push-rod when you re-install the master cylinder. If there is any pressure at all, you will have trouble with the brakes constantly building up pressure and applying it to the wheels.

Thanks jno2968326... for the clarification, :bowdown: :bowdown: your right on, I was cross referrencing part numbers from different year between two suppliers, Cardone and Beck/Arnley.
