It will shift fine to D4 and D3 but when I try to move the shifter to 2 or 1 it is hard and won't move!! I tried with all my force to move it and I heard a cracking noise so I just left well enough alone!! Has this happend to anyone? It was shifting to these positions about a week ago!!! What about WD40? Will this work?

Im not sure I understand...

Just wondering... Are you talking about shifting while sitting still? I have noticed that you can switch from Neutral to D4 to D3 without raising the shift lever, but to go lower than that you will have to hit the shifter button and drop it down... (this is while your moving) I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS WHILE MOVING, just because you are forcing the car into a lower gear than it should be in... If the car needs to be in 1 or 2 it will shift down for you...

Yes it is when i'm not moving...this includes pushing the button it won't let me shift to these gears!!

something is wrong...i don't know what. all i know is if for whatever reason you want to be able to use these, you have to put your key in the shift lock release. read the manual, i forgot what it says about this issue.
