shocks and springs?

I'm thinking of getting new shocks and springs for my legend. I want to maintain the stock height. What type of springs and shocks should I get?

I was also interested in some Tokico gas shocks. How are those? I want to maintain the factory ride also. no racing or anything just better manuevering and ride quality i guess.

Well, to start off, most of us here either use Koni shocks and Eibach springs or and theres also H&R springs as well. I have the Koni and Eibach set up and I must say that the ride is close to stock but can handle turns very good.
i read somewhere that Koni shocks are adjustable for rebound only. what does this mean?

triton, how does it feel when you hit nasty roads or potholes? does the car still performs smoothly or is there like a bang because of stiffer springs.

i dont want to lower my car. so which one should i go with. what's ur opinions.

I dont know what they mean by rebound, But when I do hit potholes there is definately a bang because it is stiffer but overall I got use to it and accepted it, and the advantage of having it on the stiff setting is that your turns will be much tighter and at high speeds the car just handles better on the highway.

As far as not wanting to lower the car, you can go either way but I know that the H&R will allow you to lower the car about an inch or alittle less than the Eibach and it cost alittle more but if you want the lowest price, go with the koni and eibach unless you can find a good deal on the H&R.
Koni shocks have a 2 position front and 3 position rear adjustable perch setting. You can keep the settins in the normal position and it will not lower the car. If you don't springs that lower the car, than you have no choice but get the OEM springs.

Konis are also adjustable for rebound. Some shocks also adjust for compression. Our Konis don't. Compression is as you know when the shock is compress like when you go into a dip in the road. Rebound is the opposite direction when the shock is returning to its normal position. When you can adjust the comprssion or rebound, you can adjust the amount of resistance. Truthfully, I don't rememver 100% if the Legend Konis where compression or rebound adjustable, but it is one of those :)
