I can get 15% black tint with metallic in it, or I can get 5% black tint, but no metallic in it. The metallic tint will help to block out more sun and keep my leather protected better from fade, however it won't be as dark as the 5% tint and I believe you can still see into the car with 15% tint. I would prefer to not have people be able to see in, but I am also concerned with too much sun and UV getting in with no metallic. What would you do? Is 15% dark enough so people can't see in?

Go with the 15% metallic. It looks a lot better and nobody will see through (unless they're really dedicated)

yeah man 15% is pretty dark...it will be pretty hard to see in during the day time and pretty much impossible to see in during the night.

15% metallic is almost impossible to see through especially during the day. YOu'll notice with metallic that you get ALOT more reflections happening so someone trying to look in would be looking at their own reflection.

I got metallics and am happy.

You made my mind up for me. I will go 15% instead of 20% and I will make sure my tint is metallic as well. 5% is noticebly darker than 15% so a cop might even think my tint is 35% (I hope!) If I do see a cop on the street near me I will roll the windows down if I'm that paranoid. You said $170? Is that the "homeboy discount" or if I go in there will they charge me like $250?? What brand tint are you going with? 15% Metallic?? I hope i don't get pulled over! . I can't see me getting pulled over for tint in the night because the weak 35% looks like 5% in the night. I guess I will just be extra careful during the day and I pray I will not get a ticket in CO for illegal tint!! PM me the name of the shop your going to if you know the name! Holla Back!

I am going in tomorrow and I will give you all the details when I get my car back on Wednesday. I am going with 15% charcoal tint with metallic in it. The $170 is the regular price including stripping the old tint off, if you don't need old tint stripped off then it is $140. It is a shop in Aurora down about 5 miles from Lincoln and I-25.

You shouldn't need to worry about cops. Usually we don't have problems with them. Even in the daytime it isn't a problem and it shouldn't be necessary to roll your windows down unless they pull right up next to you, which is rare.
