I removed the solenoids from the tranny cleaned them, heard solid clicks when tested, reinstalled them and all was well until today when the tranny would downshift suddenly and go back again. Any one experienced this and any suggestions ??
Could engine overheating cause this to happen?

that happened to me also. It kicked down from fourth to second and back. I do not know what was wrong with it. It still does it sometimes but not to often.

Bob,
I've never had or heard of this problem before and the only person I know that might be able to answer your question is Gil from HNAtrans.com try giving him a call. I would at least double check all of your electrical connections and most importantly the ground lead the bolts to the tranny near where the solenoids are. If they are not grounding properly they can't switch properly and will cause problems with shifting.

Luck
