I am looking to replace my OEM speakers in my 95 Legend, could you tell me what size I need to buy?
2 - 6X9's for front?
2 - 6.5's for rear?

but if he is replacing both then i dont see an issue. it would just not be as loud as a set of equal 2 ohm speakers but i think he will be fine.hotstartup said:yup. but make sure the magnet isnt too thick in the back. also bose is 2 ohm, aftermarket stuff is 4 ohm.
i may be wrong here but i have a little bit of experience in car audio. if he used one set whichever is the factory speakers would be louder than the other ones which could be compensated for by the fader control on the radio. now if he were stepping from say 4 ohm speakers to 2 ohm speakers and the radios amp isnt 2 ohm stable then yes he could have some problems. but his amp is used for running 2 ohm speakers, so the only thing that will happen when he steps up to 4 ohm speakers is that it will reduce the amplifiers output but it would sound fine, you would just have to turn it up more to get it to play as loud as the factory set. which is negligible anyway since our radios can get pretty loud. anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong but i have a good feeling i am right. look at subwoofer amplifiers. they can usually run any ohm load down to 1 or 2 ohms sometimes even down to a half ohm. ohm loading. good stuff.hotstartup said:both or 1 set doesnt matter, your not giving the speakers the right ohm, they wont sound as good.
Or you could run a 2/4 channel amp and rerun speaker wire throughout the car and have all the options you want. Just get a line-out converter, hook it up to the signal to the rear speakers. Run the power wires accordingly, 8g would probably suffice. Run all your signal wires and you're done. Though you would probably lose functionality of the fader and whatnot.gsdreams said:Or he could simply go with Infity Kappas or another 2 Ohm speaker.![]()
yeah he could do that too but i am thinking if he had to ask a question about ohm loading then he probably isnt in to high power audio systems and would just be happy with a set of good 4 ohm aftermarket speakersdrmonkey said:Or you could run a 2/4 channel amp and rerun speaker wire throughout the car and have all the options you want.
