Speed Bleeder write-up

Ok Gang,

This is a follow up to: Mushy Brakes

I got the Speed Bleeders: https://www.speedbleeder.com in a couple of weeks ago but I've been traveling and I didn't have time to get them on.

Process: (for me): drove the car up on the black ramps, unscrewed the left front bleeder first, put the new Speed Bleeder in it's place and screwed it all the way down until it bottomed out (very important) then proceeded to unscrew it one half to three quarter turn.

Slipped a lengthy black rubber hose over the nipple of the bleeder and ran it into a small plastic container partially filled with clean brake fluid.

Started the car, pumped the brake pedal slow, steady, and evenly down - allowing the pedal to rise on her own, waited a second and repeated the process.

The hose was long enough to where I could place the container within my view and saw the old brake fluid coming out filling the container, while simultaneously I could feel the brake pedal getting slightly more firm with each downward pump. (Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy)

Periodically I would check the master brake reservoir and sure enough I would have to keep topping it off.

I proceeded to do this to every wheel - front wheels first & then the rear wheels - without taking any of the wheels off the car, and without going in the recommended sequence. (I hate rules)

I'm happy to report that my brake pedal is rock-hard again and my girl is stopping with very little brake pressure (mo more mushy brakes) and I didn't have to bug anybody to help me.

All of you do yourselves a favor and run (don't walk) to get yourselves a set of these Brake Bleeders. There the real thing and they REALLY work……………….

Ciao….

Nice this will be sticky worth.
I was waiting for the feedback on this since the original post. I checked out the website and this seems to be just the thing for me. I have enough issues in my relationship without hounding her for her time to pump my brakes LOL.
My wife celebrated the night I told her I wouldn't need her help anymore with the brakes.............. I think the wife of a gear head came up with Speed Bleeders...:giggle:

I can't believe I didn't see your message until now, and I'm sure by now you've found them on your own - but in case you didn't, here is the part number from Speed Bleeder's website for second generation Acura's.

SB10125, and they are $7.00 a piece.
