What do ya'll know about getting engines steam cleaned?

Mine is pretty messy, and I would like get it steam cleaned, but I don't want to screw up any of the electrical or O2 Sensors or anything like that.

Has anyone has this done, and did you have any problems?

Thanks

Pete

No mods, and I was going to have it proffessionally done.

I just wanted some feedback on people who have had it done. :)

Thanks

i'm sure the professionals would know how to do it.
I have always wondered about it too - I wonder how much it costs?

Yea ive wondered how much it costs. I am going to call them tommorow.

Its funny, you always see all of the Legends being sold on ebay with brand new looking engines that have obviously been steam cleaned. Thats a good way to sell a car that doesn't run

When I bought my car from a dealer 4 years ago, I was thinking I got took, because for a 6 year old car, the engine looked damn new. I'd like to know how much that costs too. Let us know!

I was considering getting my Legend's engine cleaned as well. I remember going to a Honda dealership here in Canada once and they charged only $25 for the steam clean service. I think that's relatively cheap but I'm not sure how much they would charge in the States. I had a quote from a private shop for $30 but I think the dealership would do a much better job and plus they do it for cheaper! My suggestion is you try and ask the dealership, even though they charge outrageous amounts for other work, I think $25 is really worth it.

that's cool

Thanks guys

i gotta do it too soon, when spring break comes next week.

The reason i do not want to do it is the same, afraid of those sensitive stuff.
Give it to dealer, trouble free...
