Steering turns by itself

Hey guys im having a steering problem. When you move the steering wheel to either side it takes over and keeps turning. I have to fight to get it to go straight, and a creaking sound comes from the steering column. At first it would just do this at low speeds, now its starting to do it at freeway speeds and i no longer feel like its safe to drive. Anyone had this problem before?
Ive checked the rack and pinion and no leaks, Power steering fluid is good, tie rods were recently replaced.

Definetly CV axles if it happens when you are driving. If it turns when its parked, then its an issue with the steering rack. I've delt with this issue on 3 different Legends before, the first time it happened to me it was very hard to diagnose. Theres something strange with the design of the Legend CV axles - they are high angle joints which is why the Legend has such a tight turning radius. There are balls and cages inside of the CV axle, if the cage binds up, it will cause the car to jerk to one side, this is extremely dangerous. DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR LIKE THIS.

I actually just had both axles replaced and had an alignment done. The steering wants to bind up and not turn at high speeds, but at low speeds the steering wheel will literally keep turning itself on its own and i have to fight to get it back straight. I tested the steering while the car was parked, and sure enough if i turn the wheel in either direction it will just keep turning itself until the steering bottoms out.

I double checked and im not loosing any power steering fluid... its baffling the shit out of me and every mechanic ive talked to.

And i dont know if this has anything to do with the power steering issue, but i get a mild vibration at freeway speeds from 60-75 mph

Yeah at this point its got my head warped. The car isnt showing any other steering rack problems such as fluid loss, clunking/clicking while turning. Just the steering on its own at slow speeds and having to fight to keep it straight. It could be that i got a bad set of axles, because i still have a freeway speed vibration. But that could be anything from engine mounts to tire balance.. but i just had the tires replaced and balanced as well. At this point im leaning towards the rack and pinion being bad. It started out as intermitent to now being a full time problem. The car only has 125K on it, and with new tie rods, axles, tires.. I guess that could be the only thing left. I just wish i lived closer to the mechanic i trust..LOL

But thank god i have a lifetime war. on the axles and 90 days on the labor

OK how weird is this.... ive been waiting for the rack and pinion that i ordered to get here. So i was out turning the steering wheel with the car off to see if i could here any clanking, or other noises... When i looked under the hood the PS resivour had filled all the way to the top. So i started the car and the level dropped a little, but the steering works fine now. Im wondering if someone had replaced the fluid when the tie rod ends were done and didnt bother to bleed the PS system????
