hey guys, i installed my new pioneer head unit today. And i noticed the blue wire that came with it said system remote control wire. What is that wire for? Can that be spliced into the stock steering wheel volume control wire to get that to work again? Just a thought.... i found my self pressing the old steering wheel controls and getting nothing lol i miss them

I believe that wire will usually send power to either an amp or the Power antenna...

okay... haha yah rite now i have it rigged up to my power antenna.

it depends on your HU but usually a blue wire is the remote turn on lead for amps... you might also have a steering wheel remote control wire but it will only work if its compatible.

The best thing to do is to get a PAC-SWIX.. Whenever you purchase an aftermarket head unit, you will lose your steering wheels controls. With the PAC-SWIX installed, you will regain them. I recommend having it installed by an MECP technician. Pretty much any car audio shop will know how to do this. Good luck
