I dropped my sterling wid legend springs from intrax... thing is my car was equipped wid self-leveling rears.. i need new rear shocks so the **** things dont jack up my ride height in the rear cause it loooks ****in terrible... who makes rear shocks at a decent price? please send links... and prices...

There are a couple of things you can do - first try Midas muffler they can probably get you shocks that are not self leveling without much trouble.

Second, look up a site call British Atlantic - they have a lot of Sterling parts available. There's also a place called Post Oak Motors (I think) that's out of Texas.

I'd also recommend that you go to Yahoo Groups and join the Rover 800 mailing list. It's mostly a bunch of Brits, but there's probably a couple dozen of US Sterling owners too. The good news is that virtually everything you'd need can be had from these folks both advice and hardware that they are willing to ship. The bad news is that shipping from the UK can be pretty expensive. It's a great knowledgeable crowd though and they are extremely helpful. I've gotten some good advice and hard to find parts from contacts on the site.

BTW, I've got a 91 827Si.
