I have always used STP gas treatment just about every time I fill up a full tank, and recently (past month) I have noticed that I cannot seem to find it anwhere. Every place I go to, trak auto, gas stations, have been out of stock and it has been like that for weeks.

Does anybody know if they have stopped making it or what? or what's the deal why it's no longer around. i used to find it everywhere all the time.

and in the meantime, what's a good replacement that does not cost like ten dollars or more a bottle? penzoil gas treatment? or what?

oh no, it's not required for anything. i can run it without any treatment no problem, i just always been in the habit of doing that...plus the little label that says use on every tank

i don't even know if it really lives up to the claims of saving gas and improving gas mileage because i have never really compared without it.

it is supposed to keep your fuel system clean along with some other various stuff, and i don't really mind paying an extra two dollars in addition to the already high price of gas, since it can't hurt.

the ones that i really do try to avoid are the ones that cost like 15 dollars and claim to improve performance by like 20 horsepower and i just don't buy those b.s. claims...but stp is a pretty well known and reliable brand that has been out there for years and years.

I buy the STP GAS TREATMENT for 99cents at this local 99cent store called "99 CENT ONLY STORES" they have stores all over the U.S

Try WAL-MART they sell them by the case... for like 5$....

Also they remove water out of the tank.... STP stuff...

What about that BG44K stuff? I heard that its supposed to be way better than STP and you don't need to use it nearly as often.

iv never used it ..will i nodice a difference the first time using it??? dosent it clean your fuel injecters??? i was thinking about just taking the injecters out and cleaning them by hand and really gettting the **** clean what do u guys think about doing that?

Chevron Techron is the best of the best. $8.00 / bottle at Chevron stations, but as low as $5.00 / bottle in automotive stores.

That STP 5h!t is what it is... just 5h!t.

You don't need to use it at every fillup. I use it at every oil change.

i dunno i think it was STP....if u see the commercial it has this dude talkin about dirty and clean fuel injectors and he said he adds it every oil change so b4 or after shouldnt make a difference.

If your interested in Techron it is made by Chevron. Chevron also makes this crappy Pro-Gard stuff that has techron in it. Buy the straight Techron product. It comes in a black bottle, with a blue and red label.
