i noticed today that my car wasn't handling as good as normal. It was hot outside. I checked my strut bar and it was really hot from the engine.

Then I drove my car this evening and it handled perfect.

Could my strut bar be heating up in the middle of the day because my engine runs hotter and flex more.

What do u guys think?

If that is the case could I paint it with some kind of heat resist paint

aren't thremodynamics fun?
Doubt that paint would do it. Don't know if it would heat enough to expand enough to alter the handling characteristics of your car either. If you have an adjustable brace, you may want to tighten it up a few turns and see if it helps. If it already feels tight, remove one side, jack up that side of the car, and then screw the rod end in a turn or so and put it back together before letting the car down and that should "pre stress" your bar and remove any slop in it.
