I did it in 1999 and 2000. (I caught the west leg as it cut through Alabama) Imagine 200 + tricked out rides traveling in a pack to a common destination (Nopi Nationals in Atlanta, Ga.) Fun factor is extremely high. Cops, speed, women (and for women- men) food, rest area car shows, gas station car shows, This a definate "must do" affair if you are able. There is no fee to join the pack and roll. There usually are three legs (Texas or Cali to Atl , Somewhere up north to Atl. and Florida to Atl.) Cali to Atl usually is 3-4 days long while the other two is usually 2 days long. Then theres partys along the way with an obsurb number of "100+ mph highway runs" just like in the video posted on DTM.com. But the cops usually have their ears to the ground about these road trips so be very careful because there will be plenty along the way. Especially at the Georgia border. (oh..yeah........by the way.........They stop at nearly every single Hooters resturant along the way:D )

i haven't ran on the track. (Too busy rubbernecking) but The Tour was off the hinges (nice :) )I'm looking for a reason to be out of town that week-weekend so I can cruise back with the tour. (The only known disadvantage to moving here to Atlanta is that the tour destination is here, so no tour for me this year)

I like how the north leg starts in Maryland, which, to me, is pretty **** far south. Send some **** up here to the northeast once in a while.

I've joined the Super Street Tour since 99. It was a hell a lot of fun. It is getting bigger and bigger, and the 2001 was total chaos! hahhahah!!!!!!!!!, a lot of cars. In 99 there was hurricane.

About running on the track, you are allowed to do about 60 only, and you are not allowed to pass anyone at all. There are pace cars that you all have to follow.

acpac_jet, wanna drive together from New England? we can do it............, if you want....... hehehee........ :D

Definitely a neat thing to do. But you have to be careful for all of those stupid driver, truckers that is annoyed by us, and COPS!!!!!!!
