Mine did on my last '87 L. I got it to reset the interval once after 200 k but I couldn't anymore after that. It wouldn't reset for a while after it hit 200k but I tried it one day and it reset. It wouldn't after that.
My current coupe is at 162k so I'll see if it dies when it hits 200k.
