... I'm not sure why the engine cover wouldn't work but then the Legend is not a 3.5 and for thoes w/ a type II you would cover up the lil' label..

I like the air bag cover... W/ just the "A" but the RL's interior color wouldn't match the Legend. ( I don't think)

I'm almost wondering if we could use the gauge cluster off a 3.5RL. I kinda like the glow up needles. Since the engine and some of the harnesses are the same, I don't see a problem other than fitment of the cluster going in the dash. You obviously can't use all the plastic frame around the gauge cluster but what about the cluster itself?

I believe someone did use the 3.5RL valve cover on their Legend and it fit just fine. Just bolt it to the stock valve cover screw locations.

As far as anything else, I don't know. I think the 3.5RL side mirrors are used from the Legend coupe since they sit on the doors....I think.

I'm still wanting to put a Type-II Legend head and slap it onto a 3.5RL bottom end. Get the extra torque with the Type-II high end power...

yeah, i actually mistook the 3.5 for my 3.2 at a motor shop. When you take off the engine cover, it looks just about the same.

Did someone say that that RL cover will fit the standard Legend motor? If I were to purchase a 3.5RL engine cover it would bolt straight onto my G2 Type-1 engine in the SAME spots? Sweeeeeeett....

How sure are we about this? I would hate to spend the money and then have it not fit!

How do you take the airbag cover off? (I think you can find a RL with a black steering wheel.)

I really doubt it will fit, I know Darren (Acuralegend.com) bought a G1 3.2 TL engine cover, even though the G1 3.2TL have the same engine as the TypeI G2 legend. That cover was not a direct fit, he said there are some modifications needed to get it to fit, but he sold it instead.

I don't think the RL cover will fit at all, also having the cover say 3.5L is stupid since our engine is only 3.2L

well........Here's an idea. Maybe the "3.5" on the top could be sanded off some kind of way. This would look really trick if some one goes through with it.

I think Im gonna look for a 3.5RL cover and do a little sanding

If I remove the 3.5 by sanding then finishing I could then paint it a solid black with some caliper paint and I think it would look really trick. How much "modification" is it gonna take to get this cover to fit? Anyone have both and willing to take out the two bolts holding on the RL cover to see if its even anywhere close?

Just looking at those pics, doesn't the engine oil cap look like it's in a slightly different position from our cars?

That guage cluster looks like a different shape, I don't think it'll bolt right on.

You can use steering wheels from certain other Honda/Acuras. That might be a better way to get that design on the airbag cover.

If your A/C compressor goes, you can use the following:

96-98 TL - 10PA20C with a 5 groove serpentine clutch
96-99 RL - 10PA20C with a 5 groove sepentine clutch

Just a little something I found when searching for a replacement for mine.
