Hmm interesting. Well leave it on! When people go in your car, they will be impressed. Of course many newer cars have them, but the Legend and the SC series were one of the first to pioneer the telescopic steering wheel.

I assume that this would be pretty complicated to retrofit to a 91-92 legend right?

yeah I was going to attempt it but there just way to much work. I think only one person did it succesfully.... and it took him 6 months

why so long? parts?

is it possible to have the 94-95 steering wheel put into the 91-92 legend?

probably requires a lot of rewiring. i really like that feature tho.

nah...somebody here already tried it when he was doin his GS conversion, and said nothing would fit right. Forgot who it was tho...

The 94-95 Legends have a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel that coincides with the memory seat functions....i.e when you push memory 1 it goes to the postition that driver 1 set for the seat and the steering wheel....very neato.

My RL et the mirrors too, not sure if the Legend does that?!

yeah he's refering to the tilt feature. not hte telescope.

i attempted to do the swap to....it's too much work, parts, and wires. not worth the trouble unless you already had the car completely stripped. if anyone wants a 95 steering column with wheel let me know. 100$ an it's yours.

Come to think of it I have a Q. I have the Telescopic steering thats not electric, it has the lever, but I can't get the steering wheel to move up or down, it only moves in and out... like out towards me and back down, how can I make it move up and down?

I think they were talking about the automatic tilt feature, which tilts the steering wheel up automatically when you insert the key, tilts down when you remove it.

edit: not quick enough, my post. darn it

we 91s were jipped on that.

we have manual telescoping wheels, but no tilt.

i think it started in 93 as part of a comfort package electronic tilt and telecope.
