You all know what I'm talking about right? That little piece under the ash tray and lighter? Mine is looking faded and dad's is torn. When the wood grain is removed is that piece removable? I want to try and "Re-wrap" it with another material and give it an updated, new look.

Oh and if anyone has a diagram of how to remove the center console wood grain piece, that would be great!!!

Has anyone done anything with that little piece?

Ok, thanks. I actually know what I plan to re-wrap them in already. I'm just going to try it to see if it works. I already have new material for the speaker grills so I plan to use the same material and double sided tape so it'll hold the shape. If that does not work, I'll try a different material, but that's what I'll try first. Hopefully I'll have time soon-we'll see!!!

Thanks-just wanted to confirm that it is removeable from the woodgrain. I'm really hoping I'll have time this weekend for at least one of the coupes, but we'll have to wait and see. :D

Thanks All.

You'd think as often as I read this at Legendtuner for fun, I would have remembered they have that there. LOL

when removeing the center woodgrain, there are little clips that hold it down, well when you remove the woodgrain the clips have a tendancy to fall into the shifter area and are hard to get out, so you may want to have a magnetic thing(looks like an antenna but it has a magnet at the end) to get them out
Thanks for the tip-I'll try and be careful if I have time this weekend.
