Dear friends,

After much thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that I must sell my 6-speed.

I love this car to death, which is really the problem. I drive this car probably about once a week, and when I do, it's below the speed limit, never getting above 3000 rpm's when I shift. It's just locked up in my garage because I'm so afraid something will happen to it. The way I'm driving it now, I'm probably putting 5,000 or less miles a year on it, and for me it just doesn't justify the huge insurance payment per month. I'm really too young to have a car I use as a "toy."

I have had planned some major modifications like bodywork and such, which would probably bring the value down. So I have decided that before I soup up a car I don't drive, I'm going to sell it. As you can see this decision really causes me a great deal of stress. Only a year and a half ago I drove nearly 400 miles each way to get this vehicle after months of research.

It's a milano red 1994 6-speed coupe with approximately 75,500 miles. The only modifications I have are clear corners, bumpers, a flowmaster muffler (with a stromung on the way), tint, weapon-r air intake, custom mesh grille, and 2001 17" CL Type-S wheels. I have all the other OEM parts and they are in tact.

As far as I know, the car is mechanically perfect. The only thing I notice is a small "chirping" noise when the clutch is let out, which has been there since I got the car, the tech at the Acura dealership said it wasn't a problem. At the 60,000 mile service I had done when I bought the car, the radiator was replaced - I know this is a common defect among legends. The paint and body are in good condition. As far as I know, the car has not been in any accidents. If you would like the VIN number to run a carfax please e-mail me at legend520@comcast.net.

I'm asking $14,500 for this car. For that you can have all the aftermarket and OEM parts. I'm very firm on this price...I'd think about asking more but it's due for a 75,000 mile service and also I'd like it to sell before I can change my mind.

I'm giving someone on the forums or someone they know the chance to have it before I sell it to a TOTAL stranger on ebay or autotrader or something.

FYI, I live in the vicinity of Philadelphia. E-mail me at Legend520@comcast.net for anything. Talk to you later.

Jason,

A shame to see you sell the car. What did you do with the GS rims you had ?

Jason,

Where in PA do you live? I might want to come down and take a gander at it. I have a friend who lives in Philly so he can take me down there.

why dont u just keep the car and surrender ur plates and reg until you have the loot to whip it around? that way u dont have to pay insurance or anything and all you need is garage space for it. if i had a car in that condition, i would not sell it becuz if you keep it for another 2 years, you can prolly get more for it becuz it will be so hard to find a legend in that condition. just my 2 cent..good luck.

:werd: You will kick yourself in the jewels if you sell that car.... 94 6-Speed Milano Red LS w/ 70K! That's as rare as J-Lo when she had the TRUE boriqua look...

Just make sure you drive it around the block every now and then...

Do you really think it might go UP in value? I doubt it.
Yes because of supply and demand... :D

jason, i honestly don't think it will go up in value. you might find someone on here to buy it for more, but not out in the real world. we are the only people that are crazy about legends, other people won't find a car thats over 10 years old appealing...let alone pay more than $14K for it. i'm not saying this cause i want your car, but i think it's the truth. cars don't appreciate. if i were you i wouldn't sell it. unless you plan on getting a car thats 5x hotter than the famous milano red ls 6-speed then keep it. the only car i'd take over it is something way out of my price range, like a s4, s2000, etc. you have a great car that looks good and runs fine, not to mention you are happy with it right?

The legend will never appreciate. It has never been as popular, or have the merits of a supra, and that car has one of the most high resale values out there. The only reason you see a bump in price currently is cause of its performance potential and the movie FF, though it was always been up there in performance community the movie just widened the niche alot Theres too small a niche for legend, and it will can only grow smaller. If you need to you should sell. I think your car is worth the 14k if ppl like the mods and would do them anyway. The red color is nice but once the paint fades a little it will lose alot of value, and that evil 100k mile mark is very hurtful even 90k cause worries ppl about to drop $10k plus on a used car.
