I wish him luck - it'd be really cool... but people need to realize, that even if someone does it (someone has), and then this guy replicates it, with a better design, there will NEVER be an aftermarket turbo kit that's an off-the-shelf deal for the Legend, in which you can buy it and just put it on from some retailer.

To TNelson - TOO SOON JUNIOR... BAHHHH (nos spray)
Yeah, you got that right, there will never be an off the shelf kit from a company.

What the hell chris. When did you start in with the too soon jr. You have posted after me like 3 times with that. I'm not the only one here running nos.

I know that you're not the only one running N0Z! Actually, I didn't even know that you were running it, but that phrase had be cracking the F--- up the other day, and I'd say it no matter what the situation. At work, someone spills the coffee all over the counter because they can't pour it - TOO SOON JUNIOR! Someone stalled their car out at the stoplight, trying to beat the other person beside them - TOO SOON JUNIOR! Someone ACTUALLY didn't have a complaint for once yesterday at work - THANKS! and... TOO SOON JUNIOR (they complained anyways, a short while later).

It's killing me... Jesus it's making me laugh right now... I promise it'll have you giggling if you just think of that guy's face, saying "Too Soon Junior" when something stupid happens... HA HA I'm dying here, can't finish the post it's so funny I have to stop to laugh.

The sensors are what send info about the operation of the engine to the car (ECU). The sensors in a JDM engine are different than in a USDM engine, so if you throw a JDM engine into a USDM car, the ECU will not understand the signals the JDM engine is sending it. To get around this you have to take the sensors out of your old USDM engine and install them into the JDM engine so that the it can communicate properly with the car/ECU.

With all due respect, if you don't understand what Mike is talking about, I would suggest saving yourself the headache and have a mechanic install the engine for you.... It is a big job.

There was a supercharged car built, that didnt get more than 200 hp, because once he got over 6 psi, the engine shut off. Check engine light, and it shut down. Good luck. Some of us have figured out how to overcome that.

Who did this and where can I find more info on what where the problems and what whas the (ore more ) codes ?

To me the biggest issue is the MAP-sensor, I am just reading and looking for the best way to make a supercharger-kit, for own use (duh!) and for aftermarket sales.

Crap... Well I was looking at it, and I could re-solder it, but do you think that it will effect it's accuracy? I think I will be better off spending the 90. I was trying to do the swap without breaking anything, but I lost a bolt and broke the sensor... Got the bolt, but man I hate breaking stuff like that. :(

:giggle: you will see my proof as I whop you on the road. Honestly I don't care about getting "flamed". I just thought you people would like to know somebody actually had the balls to get this thing started... but I won' say else. I will show you when I get the dyno results... have fun wonderin how fast your car COULD be... :giggle:
That's a funny statement. I'll put my 4-door wing'd ricebox STi up against this "Monster Legend" any day of the week, and I can guarantee that this "near stock" STi will hurt your feelings...

"How fast your car COULD be..." ha ha ha! :giggle: How fast it COULD be? Well, alot of cars could be fast, but some are not. Yours, I dare speculate, will be in the latter category.

Answer me this:

What kind of fuel are you going to run on the car?
Injector size?
Fuel rails?
Management?
Line size?
Will the ECU drive XXX-sized CC injectors?
What are the largest injectors that the ECU CAN drive?
What about your "turbo"?
What are the specs?
How will you mount it?
What will you do for an oil supply?
What about a wastegate? Internal, external?
Where is your vacuum source?
Moreso, how are you going to defeat the ECU when it throws a code for positive manifold pressure?
What about your "special headers"...? Reverse flow? Did you make that up? Does the exhaust flow somewhere else, as in BACK INTO THE HEAD?

Answer all of these, in order. Do not give me any "Well, it's a secret" bulls---. In this arena, there are no secrets, and no one is going to give you an award for having some turbo Honda. You sound like "SpoonLegend" with your claims and modlist.

Chris, you just made about 1000 too many key strokes. Lets just ignore this dolt, he doesn't even know the very basics of an engine. :giggle: Maybe he's just Type Rkon
I'm glad that I type 140, because if I didn't, I'd be in trouble and be on here all day!

Manifolds for turbo coming along nicely....
Pain in the ass...yes
expensive.....no
all this hard work.....priceless-unless you can put a price on a little toe.

Updates soon-maybe found a way to get mass produced bent pipes and flanges. THis could happen. I am still hard at work on this on weekends.
Lata fellas

Reading this thread has been more like a drama...though I'm kinda confused as to the ending...everything seemed to be going along fine but..as I understand now...we're not getting a kit? or they're planning on perfecting your setup before making anything? or are turbo anxious legend owners screwed?!?!?! I suppose reading would do nicely but i just went through the 46 pages ( briefly) ...oh wait I'm just now fully comprehending what was written above...damn...

Kyle i think its about time we give thanks for you working your a$$ of making this what a turbo kit should be.

I have a couple old pics of your setup, but i think it would be sweet to mount the turbo where the old airbox is then run the intercooler piping throught the hole where the airpipe went to the factory cold air box.....but i am sure you have done nicely. I heard there aren't many places that bend that kind of piping...is that true??

If you need any help...don't be afraid to ask the guys here, we got your back on this.
