The other thread was not very active so this is a new one to get more response. Headers can be done with dyno or track results.
The cost will be apx.$500-10people or less, $400 or less for 20 people and more than that maybe 300 ish. No promises yet, but if some one can save me the time and money of driving to Denver for exhaust manifolds I will cut the cost of your headers. DV8- you have first dibs. I know you have the precious. PM me for my address. I could use my car as the labrat but I would rather have it running for the time being.

thanks guys for your support!
kyle :)

Post below on how definite you are on buying so we can get the best rates. I need to give this man the bus. for his hookup!

you mean on his new 5spd sedan??? he might not have time right now. He is fine tuning his auto right now for you guys so he can redo a dyno perhaps and a quarter.

You know....for advertising purposes. :giggle:

Pulleys, pulleys, pulleys ;)
Haha-You know the worst part about being a car guy. You have a million projects going one at once and it is the hardest thing to finish one at a time. When the turbo Legend is done then the pullies will be tested but before that I need my baseline dyno. The firebird is in garage for now. They will get done hopefully soon!
Thanks, Kyle

I am fine with offering the kits up for sale, but to this point I have not because I want everyone to see what the final product looks like. I also want to make sure the ESM fixes the check engine light. I think it will but I am just going to have to ask some one to try it out unless I get access to a cp. You can order whatever size turbo you want. On a smaller turbo you will need more boost to get the same hp.
Hope this help!

When do you think we will be able to see the final product?

^why is that?
2weeks is a over estimate but I hope to get r dun earlier. This depends on how fast jet hot send my stuff back.

The changes are improvements-to clean it up and improve flow on the kit.
I am looking into enlarging the ports and primaries to better match the exhaust ports on the heads. The other change was to make the furthest primary on the driver side manifold a smoother transition.

That is about it.
Thanks, Kyle

I've read through a bunch of pages (not all), but couldn't find an exact cost ($1000 down, I saw that)...just wanted to get an idea for the future, so I can start saving (or keep dreaming).

Much respect to labrat for making this happen either way.
I think it was around 3000-3500 for the whole kit.

what about 2 little honda fit turbos? I want a turbo kit, but i dont want to pay 3,500 for a turbo that only gains 100 hp. that blows. You could buy a Lexus IS300 turbo kit for 3 gees and it pushes more than 150hps, supercharger kit: 250 or more on 6psi
I have gone over this before but here it goes again. I will do anything with the car that you are willing to pay for. This is the cheapest most efficient option for us as of now to make bigger hp in the FI area. If you want more hp on lower boost just get a larger turbo/sc-that is all. If you want a cheaper turbo kit then get a car you can get cheap parts for. I refuse to be underpaid especially by people like you. You can try to bargin but it will get you no where. The only turbo kit that you are going to get for this price is this one. Even after you did everything yourself you would still probably not beat this price and quality, but if you can then maybe you should make them yourself. 250hp does not sound right-maybe you should check you figures, and see what else is done to the car before spouting numbers to me. This is by the way-the only kit that will be offered in mass to the public for the G2 Legend in 11+years.

did you even consider the fact that this kit isnt mass produced..? by the government.. jk.. but yeah its not mass produced... if your looking for something cheaper... a cheaper car with a big aftermarket support is what you're looking for.

for example OBX headers for honda civic... $135 on ebay

headers for our car.... :-D

Andre why don't you do some research for yourself and find out what you want and don't rely on Kyle to tell you whether or not your going to blow you engine. If you want more power your gonna need to invest into internally forged engine parts so it won't blow. He has put a lot of effort into this project and this forum and him doesn't need you to come in and say this kit isn't worth the power gains. A turbo on a legend = Priceless to the TRUE LEGEND FORUM MEMBERS!

well i dont want to send him a turbo choice that i think is good, and when i put it on it blows the rings and valves
That's the chance you take with any turbo kit. I don't think anybody that turbo's a Legend will be using it for a daily driver. I guarantee you will be doing repairs and maintenance, and if you're not mechanically inclined enough to tear down this engine, you might as well forget it.

This is not for the faint of heart, this is for people who don't mind tearing down the engine and replacing the rings on a short block if you need to.

to be honest i plan on purchasing this kit hopefully by the end of the summer - and it WILL be my daily driver, haha - i'll keep my fingers crossed that kyle did his homework :).

I am going to be driving the car on a daily basis for about 20k miles a year. I expect that I will have minimal problems or problems that are proportionate to the power I make. I can make anything you want. I can probably make any sort of gains you want but I will not say I can make you 250whp gain and expect it to run for more than a few full throttle passes if that. We all have stock bottom ends so far which says that 400+whp is a high risk for us who drive our cars daily. Money and time are the only things keeping us from 4 digit hp numbers. With one of my cars you may someday see those figures, but for now I am far from it.
I am in hopes that I will have new news for you guys in a week. I am running behind schl like I said I wouldnt but I am trying to get my ducks in a row first.
Thanks, Kyle
