Well I had a huge post about everything and it got deleted so I'm just gonna say this. When they say "learning the hard way", they are talking about this exactly. In the long run, when you can shift faster than an auto, I will show you a green dog.

...so you're telling kyle to scrap the MT and go w/the auto like Dv8 and Dethred have been telling him for the past dozen-1/2 posts or so????
if i were him i'd do that...'cause like Hybrid said aiming for the twisties (where MT shines) in an almost 2 ton/FWD car is suicidal...

The way i see it is that labrat isnt pretending he knows everything and is asking help...not from me you the next guy....but the guy with the most experience and performance regarding a swap. I believe labrat has gotten enough info about a page back to make up his mind...but we are talking a lot of money and he doesnt want to learn the hard way.

My two cents....in canadian?(if you want to rip me apart)
Amen.

So what have you decided?

Street/strip: Auto?
Street: Manual?
Built auto for now until I can round up the parts for a man.
It is expensive but it should get the job done. It will have a tad bit more stall to it, and there are a few other tricks being done.
I did find a shop that is also alot cheaper and supposedly does better work.

Very soon there will be details on exactly what will happen with the kit, how it will be done, and how much it will cost.
There will also be a few changes added as well as options available.
Start thinking!

I can't wait to get my hands on this. It's a good thing I have been saving some money instead of buying some less important mods.

I know its very close to the holidaysand everyone is very busy but did you find out anymore details about what will happen with the kit? Did you get it back from the tranny shop so you could get some sound clips and vids? Thanks! :)

If anybody here says it aint worth it. You should price out a kit for the 350Z.

plus it comes with the manifold coated and such. Good Deal.

Keith,

I will post the new manifold design up when they are done. There will be two upgrades done to them-then I will post pics. The FMU should cover fuel needs for the car. It is a crude way to manage the fuel control but the car will run rich and get worse gas mileage until you can lean it out a bit. We are going to install the kit on an entirely stock car as the "labrat" to see what happens and how everythings installs and functions. We want this to be mainly bolt-on not modify and then bolt-on. However, you will be cutting and drilling into your car for the install. We also want to make sure that it(FMU and fuel pump only) is safe to do this on a stock car before you put the kit on your car. Does that clarify anything?
Thanks, Kyle

Do you have any sound clips or vids? Also you said that there might be a higher level kit besides the base...is that true?

Have you considered this style of header?

I'm halfway through phase three of the 'leg.
Pictures should surface early February; whenever she's finished.
Forced induction would be phase four, or sometime thereafter.

We will make the kit according to what you want. Just let me know what you are thinking. I will have sound and vid clips when my car is back from the tranny shop. Right now I am guessing that I will find all of the weak areas as power levels increase. the problem with higher power is that you will loose your more reliability with the more power you produce. That is why I would say to look into spenging some cash when I get more parts made...forged pistions-rods-hardend crank-various block mods..ect.

Nice, Is that on your legend? I have thought about it. I saw no major advantage in that design compared to the log. There are obviously pros and cons to each. I opted for the log for ease of assemble and install.
