I know this is dumb, but does it matter if my engine is mainly type1 but I will have cams/type 2 intake manifold? Should I switch to a type 2 ecu and go from there or use my stock type 1 chip?

Also I can do some wideband/knock runs if need be ;)
We could do up a custom blend and see how she likes that stick with the Type I ECU and go with the Telion chip lets try that first and if we need to modify it more from there your wideband will tell us:angel: You know it is time Greek:angel:

^ no worries I will get you squared away

I am interested in purchasing a ECU from you. I have a spare ECU that came out of a 95 G2 L Coupe. Is there a difference between the 93 LS and 95 L coupe ECU? My car is a 93 LS Coupe

Thanks C-Dog, glad to see that you are still enjoying the chip and that you were able to sell your Bayou.

Earl I can certainly take care of you and the extra ECU that you have will work just fine just shoot me a PM when you are ready. PM sent

Just wanted to make sure of something. A TCS ECU from 94 LS would not work on a non TCS vehicle without being modified or reprogrammed?

An ECU with TCS will work on a car without TCS no worries there and if you preferred I also have plenty of non TCS ECU's on hand. hit me up.

Telion,
I've run thru a couple tanks of gas on the chipped ECU. My gas mileage seems to be down. I'm driving as i normally would. Are others having this issue? If so, are you working on revisions to solve this? Let me know

thanks
C.
Reply that others may find useful regarding the Telion chip
I am in fact, I never really noticed it too much before till recently but was not aware that it would affect the Velvet chip since there were less modifications to the fuel maps. However the cold start map may be the culprit I am testing a revision right now that seems to have addressed this. The prelimenary testing is promising so far. I did decide to fill up with a full tank of gas late last week and trip my mileage odometer for the testing and so far I have put 90 miles on it and I am still in between 3/4 and a full tank of gas. So once I have confirmed that fix and have received the wideband back from Innovate I will be sending out an update notification to update the corrected version of the chip. With hopes to do the same with the Type II chip shortly after that.

For those that have done the Type II conversion or have a Type II already I have also received the JDM Type II ECU from DV8 (Thanks DV8) and will be pulling the fuel and ignition maps off of that to make the same kind of revisions with the Type II map on the auto. Hopefully Innovate will not have my wideband for very long. On a side note I would also like to say there customer/technical support to this point has been outstanding I explained the issue that I was having with the wideband and without any questions or resistance they sent me a return authorization for and a statement saying don't worry we will either fix it or replace it.

\/ I have that '92 Type I automatic coupe (see sig). I expect, all else the same, an ECU from a sedan would work, right? What is Velvet? What other chip choices are there and how do they vary?

Thanks Telion

The fuel consumptions have been addressed and I believe they have also been resloved, now of course I am only a 1/4 of a tank into testing but I have put 103 miles on the car and am still sitting a few hairs above 3/4 of a tank, so as is stands I would say this has been fixed for the Type I Telion chip.

I have 7 of them sitting in my guest bedroom but thanks though. You may want to post a FS thread.

Better yet why don't you send it my way to be chipped and shipped so you don't have down time!
