you need to find out what the max power handling of your subs are and what your amp can put out at a specific loading. i blew a pair of subs once because i read the amp ratings wrong at the particular ohm rating i wired them for. ask some local installers, if its a name brand they might just know. as far as using your current amp for mids and highs, that would depend on the amp your using now. for most amps it shouldent be a prob as long as it has hp filters. what amp do you have?
