#2. Click 'new private messages', even if you don't have any new PM's

#3. On the right side of the screen, there's a little white box next to where it says 'Date/Time Sent' Click that box, then click the 'Delete' box below it.

#4. Now go to 'Jump to folder:' and click on 'sent items'

#5. repeat step #3

#6. Go back to 'Jump to folder:' click on '> message tracking'

#7. repeat step #3


Do this on a regular basis so we don't see "To _____" threads anymore. Thanks everyone.

No sarcasm, I was being real. It is a helpful post. You don't know how many times I tried to get ahold of Hate and have that PM box full message pop up.

much props to you. but lets keep this proper.

I did all the above.
1 first off. were you says "Click 'new private messages', even if you don't have any new PM's" I have private messages but not new. I clicked it anyway
and when you said "On the right side of the screen, there's a little white box next to where it says 'Date/Time Sent' Click that box, then click the 'Delete' box below it." unless your talking about the Selected messages button. I dont have that box. so I clicked the select button but still didnt have a delete button below it.

so Im still stuck with a full mailbox when Ive never even gotten any messages.

I know this is old, and most people know this....but:

in the instructions it should have included how to save all your messages to your hard drive FIRST, and then delete them. simply open PM box (under you name on the top right of the screen) then scroll down and under the "jump to" box there is a "download all private messages as" and I select text. then save to where ever. NOW delete the box. it helps to keep old messages incase you have to go back to them some day.
