I have been reading every post on brakes but I'm still not sure on what type of brake pads to get. I'm getting the brembo dimpled rotors for sure. I think I'm leaning on ebc greenstuff, I just wanted to know what exactly do you have to do to put them on. I know for the rear you have to drill a hole on the inner shim due to the peg on the ebc pad. And I read some thing about only being able to use 1 shim for the front instead of two. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to do to put the pads on, and if there are any side effects from making such alterations?

thanks for the info G Rahn. To the other type II owners, did you guys go with out 1 shim in the front?
I only could get 1 shim on. However,I have the TYPE II which has the thicker rotor. It could be that, or it could be that I just simply didn't get the piston fully retracted like I thought. I think I was the only one who had this particular shim problem. Also Guy, believe it or not, my rear inner pads did not have the peg like the rear outer pads. Wierd huh.

PS. I love my EBC pads as well. I see no reason for me to buy any other pad for the time being. There is no warm up time in the morning, virtually no break dust, and no noise.
