It's time to replace the timing belt. Other threads have suggested replacing the water pump as well. Is there anything else that I should replace while they have the car apart? Gaskets,cooling system...

Maybee you can change the crank Angle sensor

The crank angle sensor is there next to the Timming belt too. YOU may want to change that is case it goes bad but that is like $170 at the dealer. Water pump is like $170 ish.

dam theres a lot to do when your changing the Timing belt, I have no choice since I'm getting mine done cuz my mechanic owes me a buncha favors.

I better sell off one of my kids; but better than the alternative.

Should I spend the extra cash to have it done at the dealer; or have the local mechanic handle this? I have had all my work done at the local Canadian Tire automotive shop with good results up to this point.
