I think an '89 will fit in the '88......not the '90 to the '88 though....and it has to be coupe to coupe......or sedan to sedan........NOT coupe to sedan.........

Basically i'm gettin a JDM engine (87-90) to put into my 88 sedan. Should there be an issue here? How would i tell the year of the engine ?? Theres no way to tell.
OH yea, Nice coupes krizno! I'm feelin the green one ! :2cool:
Forgive me I'm a lil tired, ND1980ls I meant yours (coupes)

Kriznos you have any side shots of the sedan, looks like mine ?

As per other threads here......and please check for them...I'd just make sure the JDM is not a '90...as the '87's, '88's and '89's should be compatable.
my car is living proof that it does not matter if it's coupe or sedan
I have a 4 door accord V6 and the tranny from a 89 coupe bolted to it with minor modifications

any respectable shop could do the labour needed

Nice, the green one is off da hook really. I havent' seen one that color b4 it looks really good..WOW. Is that factory paint? :eek2:

So whats the difference in the 90 engine ?

Yup....factory color Geneva Green Pearl G-62P with Asturias Gray Metallic
NH-502M on the bottom....and on the pin stripe ( I asked for that ) when she was recently painted.

From what I understand the oil level/pressure sensor is a little different as are the speed pulsers for the A/T.
88' 90'? As long as the engine is a c27a, it will fit a trans bolted to it, manual or automatic. If the engine is a 2.5(c25a) then it won't. heads, blocks, pan, on a c27a they are all the same.
As ND1980LS mentioned, the '90 seems to have a different wiring harness. There are threads covering this particular subject.
yes, wiring harnesses are different but the block and heads are the same, just swap the intake manifold, if it's the tranny, you will have to change cases, a 1 hour job with a factory service manual.
