I saw at a shop about these transmission conditions...read about how they help against leaking and cool the tranny fluid.

are they worth it or no? I want to prolong my trannys life and have been using honda atf
any other oils that help prolong tranny or keep the fluild from getting too hot?

Most of this stuff is snake oil. But if you really must put additive in the transmission, I would stick with Berryman B-7 Chem-Seal. This is the only stuff that I've ever used that actually did some good. It keeps the seals soft and pliable.

Disclaimer: I haven't used this in a Honda transmission. You're mileage may vary.

Jiggy :

Gil, our resident tranny expert reccomends Life Product's "Smart Blend" their are two black and red. I believe black changes Dextron ATF to something closer matching to Honda ATF and the red bottle is an additive that you can add in ADDITION to keep your seals soft and pliable as well as help thermal transfer and clutch engagement. These products are similar to Lube Guard, which is reccomended in Honda Service bulletins regarding transmission additives. Lube Guard also comes in a black and red bottle but cost much more then Smart Blend.
