trans oil cooler

Hi,

I have an 88 825SL Sterling that uses the 2.5 V6 and G4 Auto transmission.

When the trans oil cooler in the radiator failed about 4 years ago I just used an aftermarket external tramsission oil cooler.

I purchsed it at Pepboys and mounted it in front of the A/C condensor and radiator using the plastic fastners provided.

It worked fine until I had to replace the radiator due to a leak.

So the only tricky thing is to figure out how to mount the oil cooler in the front of the radiaotor/A/C condensor.

Hope this helps,
Steve

Pictures?

I've seen the trans oil coolers and also thought about installing one, but so far it's just a thought...I'd be interested in seeing pictures as well.;)

trans oil cooler

Hi,

A set of installation instructions is included in the trans oil cooler kit. The instructions show how to instal the oil cooler kit as well as how to fasten it to the radiator and or A/C condensor.

The best bet would be to take a trip to AutoZone/PepBoys/Advance Auto or your favorite auto parts store and take a look at the various trans oil cooler kits avaliable.

Good Luck,
Steve
