trying to paint it back black. right?

has anyone painted anyting on the outside of there car?? i want to paint the two black strips between the the front and back doors (inbetween the windows ) what paint should i use how should i prepare should i use a primer ? should i finsh with a clearcoat? i dont want it to start chipping or anything

Well..............mine was dull and I buffed mine back out with a buffer and a few coats of paste wax. Shines pretty good now. Don't really know too much about painting though.
