They're there for the factory Cell phone. If you notice, there's 3 open screens. Two for speakers, one for the mic. Most of us do not have anything up there. empty.

I thought they were fresh air vents or something usefull like that.... who uses in car phones anymore??

Can you hook them up to a regular phone somehow?

Prob not. I got rid of the whole thing. I didn't like it too much.
