where do you get that coolant?
nope, some come in 50/50 or 100%coolantPerzianKabob said:aren't all coolants supposed to be 50/50?
That might not be such a good idea. Coolant is more than just something that stops water from freezing, and thus cracking the block. It is also designed to prevent corrosion in the cooling system, something that's very important in an aluminum alloy engine. Finally, a misture of coolant and water boils at a higher temp than just water, something that can help on a very hot day with a heavy load.GSteg said:the mixing depends on the environment you're in.
in hotter climate, i would rather use 30% coolant and 70% water.
In super extreme hot temperature (like death valley hot), I would use pure water with RedLine WaterWetter.
The original coolant is good for 3 years /72,000km (45,000 miles) and the Type 2 is good for 5 years 100,000 km (60,000 miles) according to the bottle label.imaginasian vboy said:this coolant is believe to last upto 60k miles instead of the 30k.
In the US the packaging is different than Canada. It;sgrey in the US and black in Canada even though the Canadian version is imported from the US.imaginasian vboy said:The type II coolant bottle was also a grey color instead of the black one shown.
The Type 2 come mixed 50/50. The original is not mixed.imaginasian vboy said:The honda dealer where i got it at also said they didn't make any 100% coolant anymore. They only offer the premixed 50/50. I don't know if this is true or not, just what i was told.
